Punches Self In Face Repeatedly
In my haste to hit the “publish” button I managed to leave out probably the most important record of 2025.
How I forgot to include Dead Pioneers “Po$t American” in my top records of the year is a travesty. An unforgivable mishap. An absolute cringe moment that I refuse to repair by simply editing my last post and including it, but I must own up to my horrific mistake and give it it’s own space… because it fucking deserves it.
I love this record so much it makes me weep that I somehow neglected it at years end. I was eagerly waiting for their sophomore release after their first self titled gem for what felt like a lifetime.
Gregg Deal and his bandmates, Josh Rivera and Abe Brennan on guitars, bassist Lee Tesche and drummer Shane Zweygardt have created something real, something tangible to the soul while bringing activism and change.
It’s a great fucking record and so is their first.
Sorry fellas… I’m a bad white guy.
